What is GoldNames ?
GoldNames is the world's first investment bank for
Internet domain names. We are applying the financial
infrastructure of traditional asset classes such as
stock, real estate, and currencies, and developing them
for the new asset class of Internet domain names.
When new asset classes emerge, new investment banks
emerge. Hambrecht & Quist and Robertson Stephens became
significant investment banks because they recognized
early the power of an emerging new asset class--in their
case, California high-tech companies. GoldNames, Inc.
will grow explosively as Internet domain names assume
an increasingly important position in the world economy.
We need to expand quickly and globally to match the
imminent demand.
Specifically:
- GoldNames solves two key customer
problems:
- GoldNames helps domain name holders to
get cash for their names.
- GoldNames helps companies
to market themselves effectively with higher quality
domainnames, particularly outside of English.
- GoldNames earns revenues from selling
and leasing domain names from its corporate portfolio;
from name registration, affiliate relationships,
and advertising; and from offering automated advisory
services for name transactions. In addition, GoldNames
is developing software to exploit its expertise
in multilingual domain names.
