David Teten is Chairman of GoldNames. He is also CEO of Nitron Advisors, an independent research firm which provides hedge funds, venture capitalists, and other professional investors with access to frontline industry experts. He is the coauthor of The Virtual Handshake: Opening Doors and Closing Deals Online, published by the American Management Association; runs TheVirtualHandshake.com resource site and blog; and co-writes a monthly column for FastCompany.com about online networks. David is a frequent public speaker on capital-raising, sales, entrepreneurship, career acceleration, and social software to audiences at finance and technology industry conferences and at such universities as Columbia Business School, Princeton, the Technion, Wharton, and Yale. While working with Bear Stearns' Investment Banking division, David was a member of their technology/defense mergers and acquisitions team. David holds a Harvard MBA and a Yale BA, and has been advising and building Internet companies since 1995.
